Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account or using DocuTaxVault (the “service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The Service

DocuTaxVault lets you scan, organize, store, and export receipts, tax records, and financial documents, and share them with people you choose, such as your accountant. Features vary by plan and may change as the product evolves.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You must be legally able to enter into these terms to use the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to store or share.
  • Use the service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others’ rights.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.

5. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of the documents and information you upload. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display your content so we can provide the service to you — for example, running OCR and generating reports. We do not claim ownership of your documents.

6. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

You can start on the Free plan with no card required. Paid plans unlock additional capacity and features and are billed on the interval shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time; if you cancel a paid plan, your documents remain accessible at the Free plan limits.

7. Service Availability and Disclaimers

We work to keep the service reliable, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Automated features such as OCR may occasionally be inaccurate, so you should review extracted details before relying on them. DocuTaxVault is a document organizer and is not a substitute for professional tax or accounting advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Keeping your own backups of important documents is recommended.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Where practical, we will give you an opportunity to export your documents.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.
